Dear Friends,
It has been a long and hot summer. What has been going on this summer at the Temple? Well, this summer has been a very disappointing time for me. After approval from the contract committee and our lawyer, I signed the contract for a new roof two months ago. Nothing has been done yet. After some rather heated discussion on my part, the new roof construction should have been started by the time you read this news letter. I thought we would have a new roof for the holidays. I was sadly mistaken. It is going to happen!
I will have more information on the trip to Israel in the next few months. As I have said before, the trip will be made up of members from small congregations from the South. It will be either in March or April. This will be a great opportunity for us to go to Israel.
The high holidays are upon us. This is a wonderful time to come to Temple and reflect upon the past year and to prepare our minds and souls for New Year.
Nat and I wish everybody a happy and health New Year.
