Religious School

OUR RELIGIOUS SCHOOL MISSION

Our goal is to provide both an educational and enriching learning environment for children ages Tots - 18. We strive to nurture the child’s Jewish identity while simultaneously providing an atmosphere that is welcoming and comfortable. A primary benefit to our Religious School is the exposure to other Jewish children which can stimulate personal growth for each child and provide a long lasting bond to our Jewish traditions. We encompass a wide range of learning opportunities that range from Hebrew, Torah studies and Jewish Customs to Educational Games, Stories, Music and Art. This broad educational approach is designed to help all children learn and have fun when at Religious School.

Torah Tots and Hebrew High usually attend once a month.  Specific dates are announced in our weekly Bulletin

B'Mitzvah

Becoming a B’Mitzvah (Bar or Bat Mitzvah) at Congregation Gemiluth Chassodim is an exciting and meaningful opportunity for the entire family. Students prepare to lead the Shabbat Morning service, chant or read Torah and offer words of teaching about their readings and the prayer service. For more information on becoming a B’Mitzvah at Congregation Gemiluth Chassodim contact Rabbi Judy at rabbi@jewishtemple.org

Confirmation

In Tenth Grade our students share an interesting and elevated year of learning that solidifies their connections to Judaism, the temple community and each other. This year of study culminates with a Confirmation Ceremony on Shavuot in the Spring.
